Our Kitchen Makeover

Since moving into our house 10 years ago we have spent many weekends working on several home improvement projects. When we first saw the house we were so taken back by its big beautiful back yard, that we completely didn't notice all the work that we were going to have to do on the inside. We somehow overlooked all the ugly wall-paper and the dark paneling on the walls and to our surprise when we moved in there was actually pink carpet throughout the house. However, we have discovered since then how fun and rewarding all these home improvement projects can be. Its been fun putting our own style into our house and just making it our own. Here are some before and after shots of the kitchen, dining room and living roo, to show you just some of the changes that we have made throughout the years

Before we moved in this is what the Kitchen, Dining Room, Breakfast nook and pantry looked like.....

Last summer i decided to brighten up the kitchen a bit and i painted it a bright white and we also updated the counter tops. I miss the red sometimes but i really like how bright and fresh it feels now.

The living room before we moved in looked like this.....

Today it looks like this..

Our current project we have been working on is the deck, pictures coming soon :)

Time to go after your dreams

Love her show fixer upper on HGTV and love watching her and her sweet family each week. Came across this clip and just wanted to share her inspirational story.

My greatest blessings in life..

"Your children are the greatest gift God will give to you and their souls the heaviest responsibility he will place in your hands. Take time with them, teach them to have faith in God. Be a person in whom they can have faith. When you are old, nothing else you've done will have mattered as much"

Life goes on.........
